Cycle Ride to Heybridge Basin
Signed and Numbered Open Edition Collectors Print
Collectors choose this open edition print for its sense of place and atmosphere. Heybridge Basin is a well-loved Essex location on the East Coast. A woman cycles towards the viewer along the canal path on a bright summer day. Her red dress catches the light, echoing the colour of a nearby boat, while her movement throws a long, clean shadow across the path. The scene carries the relaxed rhythm of summer. People linger by the boat hire shed, sitting on benches, chatting, and pausing to ask about refreshments, enjoying the warmth and unhurried pace of the day.
Although slightly smaller in scale, this print carries the same energy and atmosphere as the original painting. The memory of that day and the quality of the light inform the image. It is a familiar stretch of canal. I reimagine it in my semi-abstract style and bring it to life with colour and movement. I sign and number each open edition print. I print each piece to order using genuine Epson inks on archival matte fine art paper. This ensures clarity, longevity, and faithful colour reproduction. I digitised this artwork using CRUSE scanning. This museum-grade process delivers exceptional colour accuracy, fine detail, and surface texture.
