“Painting the Sails, Hythe Quay, Maldon (Copy)”
one of my favourite buildings here in Maldon – the Old Flour Mill long since disused stands on the Greens Mills site, still producing. I wonder how long it will be allowed to stand there empty except for the pigeons and seagulls. I love the shape and colours it has become in its distressed state. The architecture is echoed in the new buildings on the opposite banks which may be the only reminder in years to come.
